What does “Windows-first” mean for Ink?
It means we treat operating-system behavior as part of the product rather than a wrapper around a web app: native installation, opening PDFs from File Explorer, default-app handling, local save dialogs, printing and a desktop UI designed for mouse/keyboard use.
What is not a launch claim?
Ink does not yet claim mature OCR, advanced conversion, redaction, certificate signing or hosted signature requests at launch. Those are either future roadmap items or outside the current launch scope. If you need them now, a mature competitor is the better choice.
What is a good Adobe Acrobat alternative for Windows 11?

Can Ink become my default PDF app in Windows?
That is a launch requirement. The final release is intended to open PDFs directly from File Explorer and work as a normal default Windows PDF application; this behavior must be verified before public release.
Does Ink work offline?
Routine local desktop work is designed to work without uploading your PDF. Some future hosted features, such as sending a signing link, will require internet access.
